M.R.I. is a test that uses powerful magnets and a computer to make detailed images if the inside of your body. Unlike X-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans, MRI's do not use the damaging ionizing radiation of X-rays.

Your doctor can use this test to diagnose you or to see your response to a treatment.

A computerized tomography scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles around your body and uses computers to create images (slices) of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside your body. CT scan images provide more-detailed information than plain X-rays do.

A CT scan can be used to visualize nearly all parts of the body and is used to diagnose disease or injury as well as to plan medical, surgical or radiation treatment.

An echo-cardiogram is a graphic outline of the heart's movement. During an echo test, ultrasound waves from a hand-held instrument placed on your chest provides pictures of the heart's valves and chambers and helps the Doctor evaluate the pumping action of the heart. Echo is often combined with Doppler ultrasound and color Doppler to evaluate blood flow across the heart's valves.
